Project Overview
I created a poster for one of my favorite bands, built to cut through the everyday noise and showcase Wolf Parade’s upcoming show. The design leaned into their sound: bold, stylized, and unapologetically edgy. The illustration work was the hero, layered with textures that revealed new details the closer the audience looked.

The Project
01
Problem
Wolf Parade was still flying under the radar in Seattle. They needed a way to spark attention for their upcoming show at The Neptune and pull new listeners into their sound. The goal was to pack the theater. The reality? Just enough to keep the tour alive, enough gas in the tank to reach the next venue.

Outcome
The outcome wasn’t just a win, it was a statement. The show sold, the poster turned heads, and it became a collector’s piece. For me, it was more than the gig. It was about pushing boundaries in illustration, leveling up my toolkit, and proving I could deliver high-detail work faster and sharper.
02 ILLUSTRATION
Championing Illustration
This illustration was a true test of my creative boundaries. The design pulled viewers closer, rewarding them with details that revealed themselves the longer they looked. It pushed my technical skills, bringing a semi-realistic concept to life while channeling the raw energy of the show. Sure, I could have used stock, but it never would have delivered the detail I wanted, both visual and emotional.
