About
Jay Lantz
I’m passionate
about creating intuitive digital products and
collaborating with teams to turn complex ideas into impactful
, user-centered solutions.
Currently, I am a Digital Marketing Manager at Security Properties Residential. Prior to this, I worked at Driveway.com, a startup, as well as at the agency Downstream. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from Central Washington University and completed additional studies in Interactive Design at Art Center College of Design.
Out of Office
What matters most to me is being a husband, a girl dad times three, and the proud father of a tiny, wild tribe. When I’m not navigating the chaos of work, you’ll find me chasing trout in rivers or carving fresh powder in the mountains. Adventure keeps me curious, fuels my creativity, and helps me bring fresh ideas into everything I do.
About
My Process
I design with a focus on real human needs, using research to guide clear, thoughtful solutions. Each step helps create experiences that are intuitive and useful for people while also supporting business goals. It’s about connecting humans through design that works and feels right.
01
Research
This step focuses on understanding the users and their needs. Designers gather insights through user interviews, surveys, and data analysis to identify pain points and opportunities. The goal is to build a solid foundation based on real user behavior and context.
02
Ideate
With research insights in hand, designers brainstorm and explore possible solutions. This involves creating user flows, sketching wireframes, and mapping out the user journey to visualize how users will interact with the product.
03
Design
The ideas start to take shape as designers create visual and interactive elements. This includes high-fidelity mockups, clickable prototypes, and consistent UI patterns that align with both user needs and brand identity.
04
Test
Designs are tested with real users to gather feedback and spot usability issues. Methods like usability testing, A/B testing, and analytics help refine the product. Based on the results, designs are iterated to improve the overall user experience.
Awards
My awards in UX design reflect more than just good work. They show my love for solving problems, staying curious, and putting users first. I like to think they’re little high fives for the long hours, thoughtful details, and teamwork that go into making great experiences.
